King Mauro - Sold

King Mauro is a 7 year old (2014) KY bred grey gelding by Unbridled’s Song out of a Pulpit (AP Indy) mare. He’s stands around 16.2h and is just large all over. A big, gorgeous, impressive, and well bred horse that made close to 200,000 in 56 starts. He just bowed in June of 2021 (last race 6/19/2021) and will need some time to let it set. It’s said to be 5 percent and higher up and should make an excellent recovery to go on to a new career given the proper time. A horse this nice is worth it, he’s great in his stall with no vices so stall rest really isn’t an issue. They pulled his shoes since he bowed so he was a bit touchy jogging on the hard ground (plus we obviously didn’t want to do much with him being on rest) however he actually looked great jogging in my opinion and once he heals and his feet are back in order i see him being a really excellent mover. He was great and well mannered for his pictures and videos. This horse sold 185,000 as a yearling out of Keenland. I can’t say enough good things about him and he is extremely deserving of a good home and second career.
